John P. McTighe was a detective and politician in the state of Pennsylvania. After fourteen years as a detective in Pittsburgh, He served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1900 to 1902 before becoming the Superintendent of Police for the city of Pittsburgh, PA.
